On Tuesday this week, students in 1st through 5th grade were delivered the first-ever (in at least 15 years) Hayhurst Newspaper.
Students in Mrs. Morgan’s class worked with me during Art Class to create the paper. We did a lesson on cartooning and talked about current topics. We made sketches to go with the articles. We edited, interviewed, and put our artistic skills to work. Thanks to Mrs. Morgan for her cooperation and help editing some of the writing. Mr. Crawford did the hard work of putting the paper together.
Amy Moore, a 4th-grade parent, also helped out.
