Dear Hayhurst Families,
We are fortunate to have an opportunity for an author visit at Hayhurst on May 1st!
Her name is Elizabeth Singer Hunt and she writes the Secret Agents Jack & Max Stalwart chapter book series.
Her visit to Portland is sponsored by Green Bean Books and is funded by sales of her books at each school she visits.
Here’s an order form to order personalized, autographed copies of her books for your student to keep for their own. The books you order will be sent home with your child after Ms. Hunt’s visit. This is a great way to support a children’s book author, a local independent bookstore and allow Hayhurst to host an author visit at no cost to the school.
If you would like to purchase an additional book or books to be given to a Hayhurst student whose family might not be able to buy a book at this time there is a column to indicate that as well.
An order form went home in backpacks too. The deadline for orders is Friday, April 12th.
