2019 OSCF K5 School Team State Champions

Hayhurst Chess Club is open to students of all abilities, whether they are learning the rules for the first time or striving to win state championships. Our lessons are based on Chess Steps, the same chess curriculum used by some of the best chess programs in the United States and Europe. Each lesson combines game analysis, tactics, strategy, and open play.

Grades: 2nd – 5th (1st with permission of instructor)
Location: Room 17, Hayhurst Elementary School
Sessions: 8 sessions (April 6, 13, 20, 27; May 4, 11, 18, 25)
Curriculum: Students receive one free Chess Steps workbook appropriate for their current strength with enrollment for the semester.
Cost: $160
